What’s the weather like?
The weather in Seattle in July and August averages between 50° and 80° F. Yes, it’s quite a range. If you’re from, well, almost anywhere else in the US, you’re probably having a hard time remembering what temperatures less than 90° feel like. Nonetheless, pack a sweater just in case, and make sure to bring at least one pair of pants in addition to shorts; evening and morning are likely to be cool. Seattle natives cope with changing temperatures by wearing layers – light sweaters over short-sleeved shirts, sleeves that can be rolled up and buttoned, skirts over pants… the list goes on. It may be sunny for the whole weekend, but also consider bringing an umbrella or light rain jacket. Rain is the secret that keeps the Emerald City green!
