Staying in Seattle

We've picked out a few nice hotels for you to stay at while you're visiting Seattle. Michael's mom found this excellent selection:

1) Silver Cloud Inn University District on 25th NE.  800.205.6940 Includes continental breakfast, refrig, pool/spa, shuttle, adjacent to University Village.  east side of the UW.  They have a shuttle to the UW campus where the ceremony will be, and parking is included. Mention wedding party names and ask for their “family event rate” for these summer rates which include breakfast or on the web site type "FAMEVENT" for both the Group ID and Password:

• King - $159/day (usually $179/day)
• 2 Queens - $179/day (usually $189-199/day)

They said the hotel usually fills because we are pushing on the start of the quarter, and parents are delivering kids to apartments, other housing, etc.

If you'd like to look for rooms elsewhere, we recommend starting your search with hotels near the University of Washington such as these fine options:

1) Hotel Deca on 45th NE.  206-634-2000 Shuttle, $12+/day parking, cool decor
2) University Inn on 42nd and Roosevelt.  866.866.7977 Refrig, shuttle, outdoor pool.

Or if you're looking for something fancier, try these high end hotels:
1) The Edgewater Inn on Elliot Bay
2) The Four Seasons downtown
3) The Inn at the Market at Pike Place Market
4) Fairmont Olympic Hotel downtown

We recommend you avoid booking a hotel in the Belltown area or near the Seattle Center because there will be a big music festival going on all weekend there (that is, unless you really want to check out Bumbershoot.) We also recommend you avoid hotels on or near Highway 99, also called Aurora Avenue.
